This notice explains the founding application and the optional features available to approved atelier members. You can ask about your information without entering the atelier.

Information you provide

For a founding application, Commit asks for an email address, username, password, creative role, artwork, and permission confirmations. Supabase handles account authentication. Artwork is converted into an optimized image before it is uploaded. Your application also records its submission time and review status.

If you enter the atelier, Commit may also store your profile, published work and versions, sketchbook, comments, likes, follows, notification choices, and reports. A contact request includes only the information you choose to send.

Why information is used

Information is used to create your account, review your application, provide requested features, preserve attribution, respond to requests, and protect the service. Optional announcement subscriptions are separate from applying. Applying does not itself subscribe you to the optional newsletter.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, account and application processing supports the service you request; security and abuse handling support legitimate interests, subject to your rights; optional marketing relies on your opt-in; and some records may be needed to meet legal obligations. The application of these bases and any additional country-specific requirements remains subject to launch review.

Who can see your information

Founding applications and seed artwork are submitted for private review. Submission is not a public post. Inside the atelier, information you publish or contribute may be visible to other permitted members. Reports are not displayed publicly. A published artwork or downloaded copy cannot be assumed to remain confidential.

Service providers and international processing

The current application uses Supabase for authentication and data storage, Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse protection, and jsDelivr to deliver some software libraries. These services receive technical connection information when your browser contacts them. The production setup is prepared for Vercel hosting and Resend announcement emails; their use must be confirmed for the launch deployment.

Provider regions, backup settings, and any international-transfer arrangements are still being verified for the public launch. We will identify the applicable arrangements in this notice before collecting public applications under the final policy.

Information stored on your device

Commit saves your application email, username choice, and creative role on this browser so you can resume your draft; it does not save the application password in that draft. Sign-in sessions and studio preferences may also be stored locally. Local demo interactions stay on the device. Security providers may use their own necessary browser storage.

You can clear the saved application draft from Contact & requests. Clearing a draft does not delete an account or an application already submitted. Browser settings can clear other site storage, which may sign you out.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here. Account information supports your active account; private applications and seed artwork support review and your ongoing request for access. When a purpose ends and no other valid reason requires retention, we delete or de-identify it. Retention is assessed by the type of information, the status of the application or account, outstanding requests, and legal or safety needs. A pending status alone is not a reason to keep an abandoned application indefinitely.

Use My submission to preview your submitted artwork or delete your submission or waitlist account. A reason field accepts “Prefer not to say”. Deletion feedback is kept separately from account identifiers for service improvement and is reviewed under the retention criteria above; please do not include sensitive information. Contact Commit to request access, correction, export, restriction, or objection as applicable. We may need proportionate verification of account ownership. Do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an agreed secure route.

Deletion may require separate removal of account records, uploaded files, and email-list entries. Backups and records needed for a legal obligation or a dispute can have different retention periods. We will explain relevant limits when handling a request rather than promise immediate removal of every copy.

Your choices and requests

Use Contact & requests even if you cannot sign in. Optional announcement messages provide an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing an optional consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Where applicable, you may complain to your competent data-protection authority.

Young people

Commit is for people aged 13 or older, subject to any higher minimum age required where they live. The application asks you to confirm eligibility; it does not collect a full date of birth. If you believe someone below the applicable minimum age has supplied personal information, contact Commit so the account and information can be reviewed.

Changes to this notice

The version and date at the top identify this notice. Material changes will be explained before the relevant new use begins. A new purpose or permission will not be silently added to an earlier application.
